Why do I relate to music so much?

I don't know but I have felt that for a long time as well. It is probably personal? For me, I have so many early memories of my mom putting on music and dancing (she was a dancer/dance instructor), and I would dance too, and also we just had a lot of fun together. I think later, when I was a teenager, I started to feel it more deeply and intensely, but on reflection I think that was also partly hormonal as a teen going through puberty and hormonal changes that made me more emotional.

As an adult, I also have a deep feeling about music, it carries me away and I feel my soul uplifted or even with darker music it just reflects my deep feelings. The beauty of it I can't really describe well, but I think we also feel a connection to our humanity through music as art, not the same way but similar to reading a book or seeing a work of art, we relate to the person who created it as they had a similar experience to us or we feel their experience through their expression.

Music speaks to the soul. It tells a story about what we're going through and gets us through the day. It's powerful stuff
