Were sounds added after filming the scene or did Rexy have some kind of voice recorder thing inside her?

Unlike cartoons, it’s kind of obvious the sound is coming from her, even though she’s taking up the whole screen. How do movie studios do that? Add sound after AND make it sound like it’s coming from wherever it’s supposed to be made?

If she on the left side of the screen, you’d be able to tell she’s on the left side without needing to see. In cartoons you just know it’s happening. Also, my cat made JP Dilophosaurus sounds earlier. I wonder if she got it from me.
