Have you ever tried to get AI to generate one of your OCs? How'd it turn out?

I tried to recreate Cherinob, the Angel of Radioactive Death and Destruction, using Wonder. It took several tries, but this is the image I finally got. Pretty close.

I had to enter "glowing green woman," as it kept wanting to make "radioactive angel" look like a bunch of things that were far removed from her appearance, and mostly looked silly.

That, and the app was hella spammy.

Schwab and Elon Musk are now talking about using AI to run the entire world. Even though this is the best it can currently do at pretending to be an artist. Musk worries that he may be summoning demons with his work. Seeing what it did to my OCs, I can believe it. After all: the most accurate reinterpretations it gave of my OCs were a magic girl that turns you into fruits and a radioactive angel with the tip of a demon's broken sword lodged in her left shoulder. Computer science occultism.

This is one of my older OCs and the AI decided to make her look more like a dude with a feminized face 🤦‍♀️. Not going to show the body.

The Face is pretty accurate, the hair is passable (usually less straight than that).

The face is a close enough, maybe a less tired look and longer hair would've helped lol. The body also looks masculine and off so I'm not adding it.

This is the most accurate one, funny enough it doesn't show the face. I don't have as many main male OCs tbh.

Especially love the Dracula-looking one. I've since tried to get Wonder to reimagine Ciem, Cheshire Pig, Anarteq, Nemara, Extirpon, Luftmaedchen, Gwirmalesh, Jerry the Psycho Reindeer, and the Gray Champion (John Domeck version).

It couldn't get John right, and gave me Ted Brackett the Jailer instead. Jerry got too many antlers and lost his chainsaw. Gwirmalesh went from a standard black hood and robes to some sort of voodoo headdress. The Cheshire Pig forgot to smile. Anarteq and Extirpon are pretty close. Luftmaedchen isn't wearing her plague mask. Nemara was also pretty accurate, except it made her wildly inappropriate. Sure, she sleeps around a lot, and has been seen naked by a lot of men, but unless she's seducing a man on the beach, she's usually modest in public. She's not a *total* siren!

True. It has a long way to go to be as smart as marketing wants it to be though. I'm curious how it will attempt to render Extirpon, given it took about 30 tries to get Cherinob right.

Wonder is a phone app. It's available through the Google Play Store. It uses AI to try to interpret your input prompts. But it tends to get most of them really wrong. I got lucky on the image above.

So, I tried two descriptions and one upload-recreation. I didn't use Wonder, cause that ad bullsh*t is horrible. I used DALL-E 2 instead (the app version is called 'Craiyon: AI Image Generator,' but the app is garbage.) And the only other app I'd try is Dream, but their images aren't that good. Still WAY better than Craiyon and Wonder, though.

So I'd say Dall-E 2 is the best one, and gets it right about 1 out of 3 times. It's also free to use, but not everyone can sign up for it. It took me like a month to get on. I do like some of these recreations quite a bit, but it cannot yet replace a human artist. Thanks for allowing me to share!
