Well, well. We meet again. One of my very favourite hobbies is answering your questions. It is far too much fun. Does being tall count as a hobby? I guess not really. That is just a state of existence.

My ACTUAL fave hobby is reef keeping. We have a big tank in our home. It is filled with saltwater fish, snails, crabs and corals. It is beautiful to look at and very relaxing.

It isn’t an easy hobby though. It takes dedication and patience. So many things can go wrong when you try to shrink an entire ecosystem down to something that fits in your family room.

Ours is quite sophisticated and computer controlled with all sorts of probes checking the conditions in the tank to make sure everything is okay. I get alerts when things get outside of parameters.

The work that goes into it is extensive. You have to “make” water through reverse osmosis so it is pure. Then you turn that into saltwater by mixing special salt mix that has the right balance of elements you’d find in the ocean.

Then, you have to worry about keeping the gravity of the saltwater correct. Water evaporates but the salt in the water doesn’t. The gravity will change. So, we have a special reservoir that will pump fresh water to replace the evaporated water.

This is just the tip of the iceberg really but a glimpse into what it is like. If done right, you are rewarded with a beautiful tank and colourful corals.

I like to shoot, particularly clay target shooting. To me there's nothing much more fun that making noise and breaking things with mighty thunder stick, even if there a few days I end up just shooting holes in the sky. I like to bird hunt as well. I shoot rifle and pistol as well, but I do more shotgun shooting.

I like wall and rock climbing, there just aren't too many spots where I can do it near where I live.

Although probably not recognized as a hobby, I like to get into foot races with miniature donkeys. I can run like a gazelle, but those little noisemakers can flat run.
