This is a great question and well phrased. I  like  to dance but, well, if you ask my wife it's something I really shouldn't do. I can arrange flowers, change a diaper, change a tire, cook a meal, and write a speech, but I cannot dance. Other than the waltz which is about as useful as knowing how to fix a typewriter.

I'd like to be able to dance, but never put in the effort to learn how.

I love watching accomplished dancers. The amount of work and devotion to the field in which they chose to excel is laudable. The joy that they seem to derive from dancing is very apparent, as well as being uplifting to spectators.

Dancing by the generally untrained nightclub-goers for their own enjoyment is pretty cool, too.

At 26, she and I won a bottle of Champaigne, in a dance competition at Marriott. We should have gone on and taken 'Dance" at a formal studio, and expanded on what we had, but she was married, and getting a divorce so it was not the right time. My wife and I danced, and SHOULD have gone on but for some reason, we did not.
