Here is the art of a book draft I had. Based on the would-be cover, what do you think the story of the book is about?

I think it is an adventure-love story about MC (running as shown) and maybe side kick (retard dog) wanting the girl. She is bigger in the picture symbolically to represent how much he wants her. I don't think she's supposed to be like 22 feet tall; it is figurative.

Just from a visual perspective, I am not a big fan though even though there is a sort of diagonal bottom-right to upper-left composition. There are too many focal points in my opinion. Immediately, I want to grab a giant Photoshop brush and paint around it and limit the focal points.

I have so much love for animals but sometimes I'm ashamed of it. So I have a pet stray cat I love for example but I joke about killing her so much because it is my way to help me cope with the idea that she'll probably die sooner than I do. So I call my cat retard, stupid, ugly, everything I can to help me hurt a bit less when she dies especially since she is old lady cat well over 10 years old when we adopted her with a slew of diseases.

I had a pet chihuahua long ago and we adopted from a farm and she had heart disease and we could only get treatment options. Her lifespan was cut short immediately after the diagnosis.


I held her in my arms in her last moments which just crept up on me one day and she wanted to lay on my lap as usual. And she just died there. I poked and prodded her and she didn't move and was dead and that's probably the most traumatic thing ever for me. It made it worse that she died so gently. I wanted a struggle and she just snuggled up and died in my lap.

Going on a mission or a quest. Looks fantasy to me. It probably has to do with the woman, like maybe she was cursed and he's trying to break the curse. Or somehow avenge or redeem her to the world—it's mostly about the mission anyway. And the dog is like the magic helper to the man cause of the matching purple. Probably magical realism with the modern day clothing.
