What's your favorite star in the night sky?

Either Vega or Betelgeuse. Probably Vega because it spins so fast it actually bulges at the equator giving it more of an egg shape. But I also like Betelguese because it's estimated to be close to going Nova (in the next 100,000 years a blink of an eye to a star.) A couple of years. Ago it was rapidly dimming making scientist theorize it might be going Nova, which turned out not to be the case. But when it does one day it is believed it'll shine as bright as the moon. That would be an AWESOME sight.

Vega. It is the purest whitest star I can find around! Sure, there is many white stars out there but nothing like Vega.. Maybe because Vega is a “zenith” star which mean it cross close to the zenith after rising steep and fast from horizon to horizon well above the equatorial line. Zenith is where you point your telescope straight up and about.

The other favorite of mine is the three stars of Orion Belt. All of them are O type stars which means they are very ultraviolet colored stars though they don't look anything like I would imagine. But I like looking at them. Type O stars are rare. They are among if not the hottest stars of all types.. It makes me wonder what it would be like to be flying within a light year of an type O star.. It must be frightening as whether I can live and survive that or what?
