Before Avengers Endgame I saw all the MCU movies before it.
Does anyone else do this?
ALL of them? Aren't there, like, 30 different Zelda games now? I've only ever played the first two, but geeze... My hat is off to your thoroughness, sir.
Anyway, I DO do that, sometimes- if it's been long enough that my memory's gotten hazy. Three or four years isn't enough to do that, though. If it's something really elaborate, with lots of intricate details that get followed up on, I might make an exception. My favorite TV show, Babylon 5, was like that- I rewatch it every few years, and always spot something I'd missed before, no matter how many times I do it. Since more than 90% of the scripts (I think it's 102 of 110 episodes) were written by the series creator, and it was intended from the very beginning to be a single, self-contained, fixed-length story, all SORTS of thematic elements and character details are woven into the show that you don't see on a first (or even tenth) viewing.
Not often, mainly for TV series when its a long time between two seasons, just to recap the story.
For Games i never done this, as most games aren't really connected, over multiple entries, so it doesn't matter if you know everything thats happened in FF15 before FF16 gets released. And these games usually take a couple hundred hours to complete.
For movies i also rarely did it, but thats the most manageble, as these are just 90~120mins with some rare exceptions being longer.
For Books i also did sometimes, but i listened to the audio book, before starting the next book in the series
For games you also have the problem where a series usually is released on multiple platforms and besides some exceptions its not backwards compatible.
So for a long running series like Final Fantasy or Zelda or Fire Emblem or Kirby... you not only need a couple of weeks/or even months to finish one title but also a dozen of consoles or being lucky enough to find a decent emulator and the Roms.
Even a fairly new game franchise like Halo or Forza now spans over 4 console generations.
I will if a new season is coming out of a show. I'll go back and watch the last season just because I've probably already forgotten what happened 🤣

not usually, no...
I don't have the time for that... I barely find time to watch the newest stuff, lol
I did that with a few Marvel movies before I saw Avengers Age of Ultron.
yeaa
