First, you feel the pressure in your throat.

Your eyes water.

And you start to taste something... Very, Very sour in your mouth.

Then it's like someone lights a match, right in the middle of your chest.

And that fire grows.

It fills your lungs

and your throat.

And all the way

behind your eyes.

And finally,

that fire turns to ice.

Like pins and needles of ice,

they're sticking into your fingers,

your toes,

your arms.

You see stars

then darkness.

And the last thing you feel

... is cold.

As a writer, I only noticed how beautifully it is all written. That dark aesthetics that you bought up with this piece of poetry is superb but then it suddenly hit me, how do you know that?

For me, my body became really humid from inside because it trapped all the vapour of this humid clime in south Asia. And then my throat went numb, it felt as if I pull out my tongue then I will survive. It started itching in the tips of my fingers and toes. My head felt really heavy, as if it became a balloon and then a moment suddenly came when I couldn't feel anything, not even the numbness but I was awake and had some life. And then the time stopped.

I guess things were different for me because every body is different right? And maybe because of the habitat and difference in pressure mind and heart ratio with pressure in throat. And no I wasn't strangled but yes it would count.

I see, it's really cool! Well I experienced strangling myself in one of my lucid dreams. It felt too real that I still wonder if it happened in real.

Something similar to that, I got this dream when I was a depressed 13 yr old. There was this room with no wall visible but a white ceiling and dark surroundings instead of walls. And there was a huge mirror in between the room with a seat infront of it. I went towards the seat, all confused and feeling cold and gaze my reflection. I say, "Having a hard time, right?" And my reflection says, "It would be much painless and better if we ended things, we don't expect any achievements from this life to stay anyways". I reply, "Let's end this then" and the reflection pulls out it's hand and start strangling me. I start coughing badly and my cousin who was sleeping with me woke me up. Turns out that I was wearing the blanket in such a way that it tightly covered my neck from all the sides and it made things feel like as if it was real. It happened when we both sisters slept alone in other cousin's two storied home which is just beside the home of the cousin who slept with me. And this bunglow is said to have negative entities related to my grandpa and blah blah blah. I don't really believe that this all happened for a vengeful spirit but I do believe that it happened because my vibe was negative as well as the vibe of the house. So it didn't ended well.
