Anybody know what this movie is?

I can't look it up on IMDb because I have no idea who's in it. I just know that it came out in the early (?) `80's and it was on HBO. I'm pretty sure it takes place around Christmas time and it's in California in the valley. It's kind of a comedy but not heavily comedic. I've only seen it twice: once in the `80's and again about 20 years ago.
In the movie, some young valley girl (about 15 years old) who is a cute little blonde with curly hair and she's wearing a short scooter skirt is hanging out with friends of her and ends up underground someplace and then a nuclear blast hits very close by and kills just about everyone else except her and someone that was working at a radio station. She goes off to the station to get into touch with this DJ who also doesn't seem to know what happened. They go out looking for other survivors and only find about half a dozen others. From what I recall, the premise of the movie is that she saved the world.

I've already tried, "valley girl saves the world" but all I can get anywhere is the actual movie, "Valley Girl". Like, the entire world thinks that was the ONLY movie ever made about valley girls!!

Nope, that's not it, either. She's in the valley, somewhere and, everyone but her and a handful of other people get killed, all of a sudden. During her search for others, she discovers a radio DJ is still broadcasting so, she goes to the station to find him and she and the others try to find out what happened and if anyone else is still around. One more for you. Well, maybe 3 but, just one, for now.
An `80's movie where an evil alien lands on Earth and looks like a stick figure made of black licorice and it can inhabit your body any time it wants by going into any orifice it has access to. Once it takes over your body, you're dead but it controls your body and you can be shot hundreds of times and still be alive. Another alien comes to Earth to capture this evil alien and he looks like a kind of creepy human. Seems to me, his last name was Nouri but I can't be sure of the actors full name. I think it was the first movie he he was ever in and I'm not sure how many others he did after that. Not many, as far as I know.
Anyway, on his planet, he's a cop and was chasing after this other alien who was an escaped convict.
If the body the evil alien takes over is too badly shot up, it leaves that body and takes over another. At one point, in the middle, it takes over a hooker. In another scene, someone goes to take a shit and it comes up out of the toilet and inhabits their body through their ass.
I don't think I've ever seen it more than once on HBO.
