So basically what happened is my boyfriend is a stoner which is fine, I’m mostly 420 friendly until it involves me and how your character is portrayed through your actions. The idea of going to the beach was brought up and he was taking about bringing a blunt with him on the car ride ( 1+ hours) I know it’s something “children” do but I’m 20 and trying to better my life and I do not believe that risking the integrity of my permanent record was worth it for something we can do in the comfort of our SAFE home compared to the risk we took by driving (we live in Alabama.) now he did not like that conversation he simply said “you don’t have to come but it’s either the blunt or you”. Now this would be funny except I felt hurt and frankly embarrassed to realize that he was genuinely serious and how mad he was. Apparently I am immature and “like a robot when it comes to the law.” Pls tell me I’m not a complete idiot. I just don’t want him to get in trouble again bc he’s a felon already. I just don’t want to sound like a kid who can’t have fun lol

For starters, dump this guy. He's a loser who will never be right for you, and his decision to prioritize smoking a blunt over you for a day outting is probably the most pathetic thing I've heard on here in a while.

Second, drop the "420 friendly" crap too. If you aren't into it, then guys who are will never be right for you anyway, and it's far better to stay away from it than to get into it just for dregs.

I think you're smart and he sounds like an idiot who will continue to make poor life decisions. You should get rid of him and find a guy with some common sense. Weed is legal here, but you still can't smoke it at the beach or while driving down the street. I treat it like alcohol and just do my drinking and smoking at home where I know I won't be getting in trouble.

Nope absolutely leave him. I talk to someone that smokes regularly but he will not smoke with me if it’s just me and him. Him being a stoner doesn’t subtract to the fact that he lacks respect for you.

This is an over exaggeration. She’s allowed to make mistakes, and just because he smokes, doesn’t mean he is a felon. He does lack respect and you should be highlighting that rather than shaming her for being rather young and making mistakes.
