Personally, I don't care whether Mario is a liberal, or a conservative.

I just find it utterly pathetic when people make everything about fucking politics. Until the real life Mario shows up at a political rally (oh wait, he won't, because he's a fictional character), can we just leave him in the realm of video games, where he belongs?

Why do people have to try to appropriate & corrupt even the most non-political things with their partisan bullshit?

And no; I'm not saying that because I'm upset about Mario's BS political affiliation; it happens to everything. Disney did it, too. Their characters are supposed to be about childhood, fantasy, and fun, but they'll forever be corrupted by Disney making them symbols of their political bullshit, too.
