What superhero had the best sidekick for a partner?

Heck I know of one that had a time machine and a robot dog

Batman had Robin. He was the first sidekick and he was introduced so Batman would have some dialog while he protected Gotham City. They thought it would be weird to have the Caped Crusader talk to himself all the time. The character of Robin was around for a long time but he did not stay a kid. He went to college and eventually he wanted to be his own man and became a new hero called Nightwing while Batman found a new Robin.

I always felt that it was Robin with Batman. That was the most recognized side kick. I guess you have Lex Luthor and Otis.

@humanearth No, the Lone Ranger and Green Hornet were on the same radio station and had the same producer. The Lone Ranger's name was John Reid his brother who was also a Texas Ranger was Dan Reid. Dan Reid had a son Dan Reid Jr. and he had a son named Britt Reid who became the Green Hornet.
