What do you think of this art style/how is my drawings?

A friend of mine was drawing a couple days ago so made me wanna draw too, I found an art style I thought was cute so I copied it

This was my first attempt trying it out (actually my fav)

i like it. Makes me think of my favorite comic book artist, Peach Momoko. :)

Yours are way better than mine. You know what I draw? Pirate ships. Pirate ships with little stick figure pirates sword fighting and being eaten by sharkies when they're thrown overboard. 🤣

hehe... not if it's basically a "stick figure pirate ship". 🏴‍☠️ Trust me. I be rockin' some grade school drawing skills but I love them. 😁 Yours looks like it could actually be in something like a comic book or whatever.

Thanks, hmmm since 6th grade I guess but I’m not rlly consistent with it, I took art class maybe 3 times throughout middle school and highschool. I always stop drawing for long periods of time, pretty much haven’t drawn for 1-2 years, it’s fun but not a big enough passion to become a hobby

Lmao so true tho, I don’t think I’ve learned much in any art classes. Took it the first time for fun and the two other times in highschool it was required since I was doing the IB program

Yeah they one in highschool was required I hated it though it was a mixture of history and art and the exam was 450 questions and we had an 1 hour 30 to finish the teacher also didn’t like me not because I did anything but my table group was just loud

Wow yeah no that would’ve made me hate art, mine since it was IB art was just basically getting assigned a theme or project every few weeks and coming in every day to draw/do whatever I want, very chill. A 450 question exam sounds awful.

Yeah we had the samething except for obviously the history part which made the exam so long had to remember stuff from the beginning of the class to the end and the teacher didn’t even shoe up that day we had a substitute. But we drew daily we also did ink thing I don't know what you call it but you would carve out a square block roll ink onto it and push it down on paper so it wasn’t just drawling we did that painting sculpting etc

Glad my classes never delved too far into the history aspect. Also yeah same here, it wasn’t just drawing lol, essentially we could choose what materials we wanted to use for each project so whether it’s digital, charcoal, watercolor, painting, etc.

It’s ok
