Do any of you have a favorite actor or actress that was born in Europe or Scandinavia?

I ask because I have seen some REALLY good actresses and actors from Europe, Scandinavia and The Netherlands and often wonder if others in this country have an appreciation for those gifted individuals. My favorite actress if all time is Noomi Rapace and favorite actor who, unfortunately, is no longer with us... Rutger Hauer.

In the states we hear so much about our 'own' talented actors/actresses and also a lot of the tragedy that has taken them away from us, but for some reason, we hear very little about those that are not native to the U. S.

Who else has a favorite actor/actress not from the U. S. ?

Heck. That’s a good question.
One of my favorites, is Madds Mikkelsen. Others that I really like on film are Monica Bellucci, Jean Reno, Tchéky Karyo, Jason Issacs, Eva Green, Judi Dench, Hellen Mirren, Ralph Fiennes, Tom Wilkinson, Liam Neeson, Djimon Hounsou, and of course Christoph Watlz who could literally just read a menu and I’d watch it.


Salma Hayek isn’t a particularly great actress but she’s as flawlessly beautiful a woman as I’ve ever seen so I’ll watch whatever she’s in for the eye candy.

I particularly like Madds Mikkelsen and have seen him in many films. Judi Dench, and Hellen Mirren, and Ralph are also great. Many of those you listed were really fine actors/actresses.

I didn't ask for a lesson in world geography... Simply trying to differentiate between those different areas of the European continent since Noomi Rapace is from Sweden, which is a great distance from the rest of the Continent and Rutger Hauer was from The Netherlands, which would probably make him from Holland
