In a movie I watched years ago, a girl with short black hair was wearing vr glasses so the universe was changing and almost died. As I recall it was supposed to be an injection, that's what was the problem so she almost died.

From your description it sounds like maybe you saw the movie Inception? I think the main girl in that one had short black hair and they were using like dreamsharing tech that let them go into each others minds and control reality and stuff.

Near the end there's a scene where something's messing with her injections that are supposed to let her wake up safely. If they mess up she could get stuck in a dream forever or die in the real world, I can't fully remember. But your description of the VR glasses and almost dying because of a problem with an injection sounds pretty similar.
