What makes you awkward while dancing?

I took up dancing classes a few months ago. I decided on private lessons where you dance with an instructor. I learnt some basic moves to a few dances, but recently while dancing something like a folk version of the walts I just happened to lift my head and noticed that my usually serious instructor is looking at me and smiling. He then laughed and stopped the dance saying he had to rest. I felt awkward at that moment and didn't know how to behave. IT was not the first time we didn't dance until the end of the song, but he never smiled or laughed during this one. I started wondering if I actually did something funny, or my dancing is still far from passable (I was never good at IT). Do you have such moments? How do you deal with them?

I can not dance thus it makes me self conscious except with disco music. I used to be able to bust out a mean electric slide back in the day.

Dancing makes me awkward. Somewhere their exists a video of me dancing at my wedding. I do not know where it is but I hope it never surfaces.
