The theater is alright, but I really only feel the need if itās some blockbuster with crazy visual effects. Like I went to go see Avatar in 3-D, for example. But I almost never watch non-comedy movies, so there rarely that kind of urgency, unless itās some supposedly wicked funny movie that I want to catch immediately, like Superbad or something. You can tell by all these old-ish movies Iām mentioning that itās been a while since I regularly went to the theater😂 I did see Barbie at the theater this past fall. Before thatā¦. I think it was Get Out or Black Panther, whichever was the later of the two. I go years in between nowadays. Movies also just arenāt that good anymore, in my opinion, so itās just hard to find anything to get me to go, itās usually others driving it if I go.
I think I just donāt really watch movies like that anymore, haha. Iām not big on sitting still, I have like a 20 minute attention span, tops, lmao
Alsoā¦. sticky floorsā¦. the HARDEST of passes
Yea don't go that often either anymore. I could have easily guessed that you mainly watch comedies lol. The last comedy i saw in theater was pineapple express I think š¤ or hall pass I'm not sure.
I went to see barbie too, my pfp before this one I was wearing my little pink top from that day. I should have watched Oppenheimer instead lol
Who me?šš¤”
I caught Pineapple Express at the theater too, I think I walked out declaring it the funniest movie I had ever seen, but I donāt know about that. That black-and-white scene in the beginning with Bill Hader being the test subject for the secret military weed testing was outstanding thoughš Danny McBride was great too. Seth Rogen-Amber Heard relationship was weird as hell though, haha
You didnāt like Barbie? I thought it was solid. I have an āI am Kenoughā hoodieš I have no idea what Oppenheimer was about but I suspect Iām too much of a dumbass for itš
definitely prefer the home theater set up at home...
there's a few things I do not like about going to the movies, but... still, with the right person, I always have a great time, lol... in spite of all these little things that can make me feel icky about theaters
home instead...
let's watch some French movies
by the French doors...
tasty... French desserts
le phoque...
I've never been to a drive-in...
let's do it tonight...
Both. Movie theater esp with a date or event is nice.
My last exp at a theater, my company bought out a movie theater room for us. It had special services where we can pushed a button and order food, and the recliner seats these days are pretty dope I must add.
Home movies are also really nice to be cozy, dress comfy or not much lolz, blankets, and it is freeee~ lolz
These days I prefer home lol. I don't have to wear a bra or pants lol.
Ooo yes true, I did not think about that lol let's have a movie night
@NathanDavis wanna have a movie night with us?
already packing the snacks...
We are the snacks
let's start earlier then... NFL firing up soon...
Hahaha
Well thats fair enough, you have to wear clothes at home to watch a movie
not if I'm around... they won't last on that much anyway
He's not wrong

I prefer the movie theater, I always liked going to the movies, because it was so rare that I did.. And it still is.. I like to keep it that way to really enjoy the experience.. I've watched plenty of pirated movies at home, it's just not the same.. LOL.. I guess at the end of the day even though I've watched more movies at home, I prefer the theater.. If that makes sense.
Uh, I'm Joshy from the Suburbs, not J-Dawg from the block.. We don't use bootleg in this sophisticated household... Yeah it's the same.. LOL..
IKR, I'm enjoying my illegal entertainment, and they just had to go to the bathroom at the wrong time.. Lmao..
Why you giving that look miss? Ike you wanna stuff a mouse trap in my face? š
"Damn, he's about to die oh nooo" *Gets up in the middle of the street* "Oh What the fu-"
š.. Better be careful they still your eyes can get stuck like that..
I feel that, especially bootlegs from the hood "CDs and movies!!".. Lmao..
I hope you know that that was all apart of my plan, we needed the perfect Storm, but we first we had to get rid of the Dark Phoenix.. šš..
I prefer to watch most of my movies at the cinema on a big screen, either in full screen or in 16:9 wide screen.
Watched the korean movie Oldboy at the cinema last night, it's a very messed up, fucked up, psychological movie but a excellent movie and some of it was filmed in New Zealand at the end.
Is just avery mssed up movie where a guy is held in like a prison for 15 years and his head is all messe up and he takes revenge after it so he goes after the guy who did it, you have to watch it to know what i'm on about
In comedies for the group effect, in big screen action for the immersion. I went into Star Wars Ep. 4-6 when they were re-released, which was yet another level.
yeppers, they have deals on Tuesdays during the day for $7.00 and you buy a big tub and you can get it filled every time for 7ish bucks.
A great deal.
I hate the movie theater. Way too loud. And everyone suggests going to see a movie as a decent date or hangout with friends, but are you really even hanging out if you just sit in silence for two hours? Not a movie fan to begin with, but if I'm gonna watch one, I'll watch it at home.
Way too loud? Are you talkilng about the crowd? Avoid blockbusters at day 1 I guess. But honestly, most people behave and don't talk through the movie, and sometimes can add to the experience.
You can talk after the movie.
@MrNameless no, the volume of the movie itself is way too loud in theaters for me.
We have a home theater system that blows away any cinema I have been to.
If i could win a lottery i would probably do that exact same thing, buy a home entertainment center
I prefer staying at home but I do love the popcorn from movie theaters
@DryGermanGuy YOOO CHOCOLATE POPCORN š¦
Chocolate popcorn is the best!!!
I loved going to drive ins also. Actually there are some still opened, there one that opened in the state we live in.
Itās not to far for me, but figure Iām too old to enjoy it like I use to
Maybe but the ratings has changed to a wider category lol
Yes, I very much like going to the movies than the home experience. I hardly watch TV anymore.
We kinda have a movie theater of our own at home.
Iāve never been to a drive in type, but I love the typical movie theater. The only thing that could beat the big screen would be just me and my SO watching alone while we cuddle.
And if we were married we could be cuddling naked. lol Hard to beat that! š
I prefer watching it at home so I can put the movie on pause and get some snacks for my fat. I also don't have to listen to idiots talking during the movie in the theater.
@7Phoenix7 I remember my dad and late mom took us to see a Drive-in movie and I got scared seeing this woman's big boobs. This was a scene my parents didn't expect to be seen, and it made me shy, my sis and I were little. Hell not shy now, give me them rabbits, and I will keep them warm. JK JK JK Hahaha!!!
@7Phoenix7 Being little and wondering what they were Lmao
Home. I can pause, rewind if I miss something, and do not have to wonder what the BLEEP that is on the floor. or seat.
I feel like certain movies need to watched at a movie theater
Lately i only go if its a huge action movie that would be more enjoyable in the theater than at home like Godzilla or Oppenheimer
Yes its great šš»
Prefer going to the movie theater, it hit different when you aren't at home
i haven't really been to one in a while to be honest
my town doesn't even have one anymore it closed down a couple years ago just after covid
it actually re opened briefly after covid the summer 2020 then it closed and never re opened and being converted into something else now so will never re open
I love the movies and the drive ins. My city still has one, it's great.
It used to be a real fun experience but I havenāt gone in ages. It seems less worth while with how everything is set up now.
Depends on the mood. Could go for either don't have a preference I guess.
I used to but I'd have no reason to go now. They don't make movies for over-20s any more.
Drive-ins are my most preferred, and staying at home is second-place.
Home is where the comfort is... & my favorite readily available snacks.😉
Yes occasionally but I think it's rather expensive these days
Yep too right
Pfff I havenāt gone to the movies in so long. Covid kind of killed that, combined with honestly no worthwhile movies to go spend at minimum 40$ on
I haven't been to a theater in years. I prefer to wait till I can watch a movie at home.
I don't love. I've been to the cinema 3 times in my life. The ambience of the place and the population of people in the environment bother me.
Unless it's Rambo, James Bond of Indiana Jones, I don't bother anymore
What is a movie theater?
I only go there for the popcorn lol
they do have the best pop-corn, yes...
I've tried to buy their machines before...
@NathanDavis lol
wouldn't you want one of those?
I like the home theater more.
I hate to go because they are filthy
@7Phoenix7 what are you the Captain of?
Oh come on Jennz, stop pretending. You did your fair share of making them filthy! :-D
@DryGermanGuy how did she do that?
She has powerful oral skills! :-D
@DryGermanGuy she does?
I don't doubt it for a second! :-)
@DryGermanGuy which one?
Sometimes I like to go to cinema, but I usually prefer staying home to watch.
Love it! Nothing beats theater!
Love drive-ins too. But theyāre so rare nowadays.
The movie theater is nice for dates.
Oh, I have no problem with it as a first date.
I usually prefer to eat before the movie. That way you donāt feel as tempted to waste money on nutritionally worthless popcorn.
I like going out. Itās a 3 hour mini vacation.
The lack of a pause button puts me off.
And rewind to see what you didn't hear.
Which brings to mind on thing that really PISSES ME OFF about streaming at home - hey sound mixers, we're not in a theater. Don't have loud mood music during a whispered conversation. In a theater, it comes through. At home, some of us have kids or others sleeping in the other room and we can't play the volume at theatrical levels and it can be near impossible to hear conversations without waking up the house. Mix sound accordingly.
Sorry about the rant...
yes, some movies are better on the big screen
Lol home been to. a theater in years
I like to go and watch movie in theatre.
It really depends on whatās showing
no its kinda lame
I love going to the movies
Aquaman 2
What about you what was the last movie you want to see
Nooooo!!! Say it isn't soo!!!šššš
I know it looks corny asf and that stupid ass movie won awards smh
Too many people talk in a theater
I ENJOY BOTH
@7Phoenix7 i enjoy going to theater.
Neither. Not a movie watcher in general.
Yes I love the movie theater!!
I find watching movies at home boring and I usually fall asleep lol
šš
OK what movie do you want to see in the theater?
Lol yeah I'd say..
The last movie I saw was Indiana Jones.
I like the movie theater.
I like both
love it
