I don't get this at all in the pop categories they only have the most popular stars but they gave best rap album and best rap song to a guy who gets like 1 million views on his songs. Awards in general are pretty weird but music awards are the weirdest in my opinion. Because if you just give awards to the most popular people then it's pretty pointless so I think they should give awards like the Oscars (not saying the Oscars are great but at least I think they have more of a purpose than most music awards since they don't just give awards based on box office but they have different criteria) to the people they think are the best regardless of popularity but then you should do it consistently through all categories.

when were they on?
I don't watch those shows.
people giving each other awards for doing their jobs.
When you think about it, it is really kind of funny.
And the award for the best truck driver goes to Bob!
The trophy for the best bricklayer goes to Fred!
The "stars" seem to need constant validation that they are still relevant, and this is just another way that they can get it.
Never watch them anymore. All it is, is people being given awards because they have the resources to have their music heard, while your normal person, who can possibly sing better, do not. Half of these artists don't even write their own songs. They copy others. All the female singers sound the same to me. No one seems to have an original style, like Alanis Morissette has. Others are only popular because they hardly wear anything, not because their music or voice are great, like Miley Cyrus.
The Crypto. com venue looked nice.
I noticed several technical issues.
T'was cool to see vintage Joni Mitchell, Stevie Wonder & Billy Joel perform.
I hated Jay-Z's acceptance speech.
Though she was hot, Miley looked "dirty" with those "uncoordinated" tattoos of hers.
Nonetheless, congratulations to the winners!

I don't pay any attention to them whatsoever in large part because I don't care about celebrity sh*t, nor do I listen to the type of music that gets the lion's share of recognition.
i didn't know it happened. i was never into grammys, or emmys. in fact, i dont even know which one is related to movie, or music. furthermore, i never really watch movies, so i wouldn't really care who won what award. as far as music goes, i just listen to whatevers available, and most of the time i dont know who sings it
I watched for about 1/10 of a millisecond, and after seeing the 'freak show' I retreated to Amazon Prime.
My favorite part was Tracy Chapman and Luke Combs singing Fast Car https://twitter.com/i/status/1754317628661768555
I didn’t watch and really don’t watch any of these award shows anymore. Not the Grammys, Oscars, Espys, anything. It’s a bunch of self-absorbed people who are all out of touch with reality who dedicated an evening to their own egos and then interject their political rants as if they had ANY clue as to what they are talking about.
I’ve managed to do some dignitary protection for some bug name A-lost celebrities and nearly all of them are shockingly disappointing.Don't waste my time watching crap like these shows. Huge groups of filthy rich spoiled boys and girls in mega thousand dollar gowns (lack of gowns with some) parading their asses around so we can see in person where we throw billions of dollars at throughout a year.
Were you nominated for an award? If you were, I'm sorry I missed it.
All I need to know about the Grammys is that at the 19th Awards The Starland Vocal Band beat Boston (and Wild Cherry and Brothers Johnson) for best new artist and "Afternoon Delight" beat "Bohemian Rhapsody" for Best Vocal Arrangement for Two or More Voices.
I don’t watch those. Truth be told, I don’t think many people do since the age of public television is dying out. If it’s not streamed, no one is watching.
Music today is grossly inferior to what it was in the 1970s and 80s. The Grammys show, which I rarely watch, is just a fashion show, which someone decided is necessary to make today's music look good.
Thhis was the best part...
It's funny how everyone is saying how "out of touch" the music and the awards are, but 30 years ago their parents would have been saying the same things about the music back then, and 30 years before that, that generation's parents would have.
Everyone is also saying they didn't watch, but the ratings were up 173% over last year. So who were all those people watching?
I like music that sounds good so I avoid the Grammys
JOKE: The following acts have never won a Grammy (lifetime achievement doesn't count) The Who, Led Zeppelin, The Moody Blues, Jimi Hendrix, The Supremes, and Bob Marley
I didn't know they were on. Unless an artist has been around for 20 years I've never heard of them. Never heard of the host or a couple of the big winners. Who doesn't know who Hannah Montana or Taylor Swift is?
the stuff they rewarded in the past lost their credibility
Didn’t watch the whole thing but what I saw was good.
I loved it. A lot of really good music and artists.
I didn't watch it. Just saw a recap of it on YT like I always do. Nothing to write home about imho.
I give zero F’s for all these shows. This year I hear Jay-Z did a Will Smith minus the slap… typical selfish a-hole move.
