They couldn't possibly handle the security needed for the additional people who would show up from all over the country.
After the shooting today. No one should have showed up. Hope the crowd beat the crap out of the guy they ran down!

Boy…. well, as a Boston sports fan I’ve definitely been to my share of victory parades, and every single one of them has been an absolute mob scene. Boston proper isn’t that big, only about 500-600k people…. but we’re a MAJOR metropolitan area, I think it’s over 4 million people, and that’s just our immediate suburbs. Throw in central/western Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, some areas of Connecticut…. we’re looking at a TON of people who might show up.
I’ve never been to KC, but I’ve never known it as a major metropolis, just kind of medium-sized, that was my impression. I’d like to think their city isn’t laid out as horrendously as Boston is in terms of car travel, we built this place a looooonnnnnnggggggg time ago, lmao, we still have cobblestone in some places😂
So you’ve already got a generational superstar showing up in Patrick Mahomes, and maybe only music tops sports in star power, and T-Swizz is numero uno right now. We already saw what happened with her tour last year, people who couldn’t get tickets were still showing up in droves just to listen to the echoes outside of the stadium, lmao. With the type of stardom Taylor has, I do think it would make it near-impossible to manage the crowds, even more security would be necessary…. lots of headaches. Like I remember Tom Brady cruising by, and you’d be like “oh, cool, there’s Gisele”, but it’s just not the same kind of fame. In that specific venue, she’s kind of the trophy wife to Tom Brady. In THIS venue, Travis Kelce, despite actually PLAYING ON THE TEAM, is Taylor’s trophy boyfriend😂 It’s insane how popular she is.
So I think the whole thing is A MESS if she’s there. Or at very least, you’d have to make a big show of her NOT being there, maybe even fly her jet that that guy tracks somewhere else to throw fans off the scent, and then just “surprise, Taylor’s actually here on the float, but only bona fide Chiefs fans are here causing a scene, with no unnecessary additional participants.” Kinda sucks that it can’t just go on normally, but fans are just crazy, so you have to play things to account for the craziest of said crazy fans.
Probably because, underneath all of her notoriety and celebrity, she is still a half-wit that behaves like a high school girl, playing smash mouth with the 'equally-half wit, "alleged' boyfriend who behaved like a high school bully, pushing his coach on camera.
What football team wants that kind of block-head-behavior displayed for everyone to see?
No professional club wants that kind of stupidity to reflect on their club.
No too much unlike the sexual mess Kobe Bryant drug the Lakers through after his alleged sexual affair in Colorado or where ever it was Who needs that?
The Kansas City mayor made news last year when he waited for hours and hours to get tickets for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour only to have his credit card declined because the tickets had gotten so pricey. I wouldn’t let her into my city either.
respectful and considerate.
folks... we have our new USA royalty...
the question is, what songs will she sing in the next superbowl halftime. that is a guarantee...
I think it's a shame they need security for stuff like her showing. Why are people so insanely dangerous and lack control around others in a public space.
Personally I would take that as a compliment. My mere presence being enough to panic an entire municipality.
I don't care about Taylor, what pissed me off is Jason Kelce wearing Cheifs gear. I get it, your brother won. Go celebrate. Its clear how close yous are, but you're a fucking Philadelpian Eagle. Up their like you won again in Cheifs gear? Couldn't even be wearing an Eagles hat? Turned my stomach.
I think they know it would be a disaster if she showed up.
They didn't ask her not to show up for that actual reason but because they didn't want her to steal the spot light from the players and coaches.
If you think Swift would have increased security concerns, do you think the mess with the shooters was better?
They weren't prepared to protect her or others and obviously didn't think about this ahead of time. Under the circumstances. I think it was a reasonable request by the club.
This is false, she had to fly down for the Australian leg of her tour.
This makes me believe, this is all political motivated?
A good idea, both from a security standpoint and that she would detract attention from the team, where the attention should be.
Best decision they could ever make
I mean it's kinda sad for Taylor that she has to deal with things like this because of her public profile but security is security.
It's a valid concern, but I'm sure she could afford to pay for some extra security and gift that to the city.
Well there was a shooting. I'm sure her security team doesn't carry guns either.
Did they? Well she’s not part of team and would be a liability so there’s that?
Bet she has already started writing a song about how he did her wrong. With his temperament I don’t see it lasting.
