Would this Star Wars idea be good?

I want to make a Star Wars movie about a girl who is a clone of Luke Skywalker; she sets out to look for him to bring forth a prophecy that will surely unfold. The action in the movie will be hack and slash, which is Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden inspire. There will be a new villain who wants to destroy the good guys and Sith and create a new order of jedis. Is this something Star Wars fans would like?

No. Here's why:

1. Genderbent cloning is a dumb scifi trope that serves no actual purpose. Furthermore, cloning itself is badly overused in Star Wars. Instead, write it that Luke's DNA is used to act as a "father" in a bioengineered subject.

2. Ever since Disney took over, lightsabers have been made into a joke, and even the blasters have been dumbed down dramatically, likely due to their commitment to the anti-gun agenda in the US. There is no way a "hack and slash" approach would ever get approved by the current regime. On a related note, your story needs to have actual stakes and shouldn't be afraid to permanently kill off characters, or even end with the protagonist achieving a pyrrhic victory.

3. Star Wars needs to get away from the Jedi and force users. They have become a massive hinderance to storytelling, mainly because they are treated as superheroes and demigods with Mary Sue/Gary Stu tendencies rather than telekinetic warrior monks. Furthermore, they've been overused and devalued to the point theyre retconning characters who were never force users into suddenly becoming one. All of the reasonably well-received Disney era star wars content (Rogue One, the first season of Mandalorian, and Andor) either eliminate or sideline the force as a plot device and it works because the "regular people" are much more interesting characters.

4. On the note of interesting characters, that villain premise could use some work. Moustache twirling evil for the sake of being evil is also a dumb and lazy trope - give the antagonist some actual goal (most likely something along the lines of pursuit of power) that they are pursuing on their own, and if they have followers, give them a reason to be followed.

Here are a few thoughts on that Star Wars idea:

- A female clone of Luke could be really cool! It would be awesome to see a woman take on such an iconic role and have her own epic journey. I bet fans would love that.

- The whole prophecy plotline sounds awesomely mysterious. People always lose their minds over destiny stuff in Star Wars.

- Having super stylish, high-octane action inspired by Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden would definitely set it apart. Those games are sick, so lightsaber fights on that level would make jaws drop.

- A villain trying to destroy the Dark and Light sides and forge their own order is super villainous - I'm into that level of chaos!

I think hardcore fans might be hesitant at first since it diverts from the Skywalker saga. But if the story and action are ridiculously entertaining, they'd come around for sure. You'd win over lots of new fans too.

Just make sure the characters are super memorable and the dialogue is snappy. World-building is huge too. If you nail all that, this movie sounds like it could be the most badass Star Wars yet! You totally gotta pitch it to Disney or something dude.

We already HAD a clone of Luke Skywalker. It went... well, badly for him, but the book series was amazing.

But we don't really need any more mindless violence in Star Wars. We had that too; it sucked.

I like the idea but why not just do an original character? We already have tons of characters who have been cloned. And if it was an original character you'd have creative leeway.

I was under the impression a clone is of the same sex only. Otherwise it is no longer a clone!.

Other than that? Not sure it would appeal to Star Wars Fans, but it might do for gory horror fans!

When you say 'make a movie' are you talking about something with your friends and family to watch or something you hope to take further? Reason I ask is because if you're going to rip off the Star Wars Characters, you're going to need Disney and Maybe George Lucas's consent (Not sure about Lucas though, as I think he sold the COMPLETE rights to Disney!
