I don't use my smartphone that much except for basic calls and sometimes texting and playing music while driving, but I do enjoy this little app from KORG:

It lets you make music in a really easy way where we don't have to worry about functional harmony or quantization or anything of that sort. We just kind of doodle around and things sound good.
