If there are any artists out here, how do you keep yourself inspired and where do you find your creativity?

Lately, I’m getting so many reminders about my hidden talent I haven’t been making time for in a long time rather it’s conversations I’m having with others, vlogs I’m watching, or what I’m being exposed to at random times. I think it’s a sign to get back into art soon~ 🙂‍↔️

I just have a random bash on the drums for a while and sometimes come up with some pretty cool stuff. Most often, the band comes to me with a new song and at least a vague idea of how they imagine the drums would sound and I either play what they want or just come up with something completely different that thrills them even more or, maybe I'll take their suggestion and screw with it a bit.
I remember when Bob brought us, "When Brains Collide". He showed the other what chords to play and how the song goes and they ran through it a few times and then he gave me his suggestion for the drums. They ran through it again and I listened with his idea for drums in my head and came up with something much better and vastly different! Next run through, I played along and, at the end, he went nuts saying that what I came up with was much better than what he had in mind!
Another night, we were on our way to a gig in Youngstown and they said they came up with a new song, "Superfluous America" and they recorded it at Pete's studio and played the recording of it a few times in the car on the way to the gig. They wanted to debut the song that night. So, I wrote my drum parts in my head and they knew nothing about what I was gonna do. We got to the section where we were gonna play the new song and, before Bob even finished introducing it to the audience, I started playing a drum solo, my first ever on stage, and dropped into the first beat I had in my head and then nodded to the others to come in. Once we got that chugging, I switched to a completely different beat and Bob came in with vocals and we played the rest of the song. As soon as it was over and we got wild applause, he dropped to his knees, whipped off his sweaty t-shirt slapping it on the floor repeatedly shouting, "THAT'S how you do that!! THAT'S how you do that!!"
Inspiration plays a key, too. Just like how a number of the questions I ask here tend to get inspired by others I've read here.

YouTube shorts or I'm sure Tik tok has even more but there's TONS of artists doing all kinds of cool stuff. Just mindblowing art after mind-blowing art.

One thing I ALWAYS see is this adherence to the use of "techniques." Like using a dust pan to create amazing waves of colors, and an infinite amount of others.

It's not that the artists are just amazing artists. They're using every tool in the toolbox to make something. And even lowly non artists can get into it and copy them and make their own cool stuff too!

If there are any artists out here, how do you keep yourself inspired and where do you find your creativity?

I'm not a professional, but I sell my designs, too. In the past, I read and watched manga and animation then I was inspired. Now, it's more like a project, like series of characters. Setting a goal that I have to draw something at least once a week.

Wife response: my husband (account creator) made sure we live in a spot that has ample views and lighting so I am constantly inspired. From our front porch I can see for dozens of kilometers. From the bay windows in the living room I can see the arbor he built and the orchard beyond. Off the back porch the vineyard, garden and forest which has a winding path that leads to a beautiful overlook where we can watch the sunset. He also planted trees around the property for shade and has made several beaches and permanent canvas stands for me that I still use regularly.

I don't have problems keeping myself inspired, I have problems keeping up with my inspirations. For every drawing or 3d model etc that I make, it spawns at least 10 more ideas, it can get overwhelimng, like I'm always playing catch up with myself, and I often have to pause just to organize my ideas into lists so I don't forget to address any of them.

Most of my sold work and what I enjoy doing is black and white scenery in either pencil or stipple pen and ink. I always imagined myself doing glamor female photography even as a child but never pursued it. I also have a background in musical acting and solo singing performances.

Reading. Obviously not the answers on most of the questions on this site, but I read for inspiration whether I'm going to paint, write or compose.  A long walk in nature helps as well.
