I only saw the first 3 and I never saw the first one, 1979's "Mad Max", in its entirety because it was a bit boring and not very polished. 1982's "Road Warrior" was an unexpected hit, so 1985's "Beyond Thunderdome" was given a big budget and was a hit.
It is still my favorite because there are so many memorable moments in it.

  I wasn't interested in the 4th one because Mel Gibson was not Mad Max.
  The only thing that interests me in the latest one is Anya Taylor-Joy because, well, she's a piece of ass.

The first… road warrior. Best Mel Gibson film… such an awesome plot way ahead of its time… the second one was just as good.
All the characters, the female characters also… very impressive production. Love the wasteland!
