This is Triwatt, one of my Lego transformers. He is supposed to be a Trident from Apex Legends which is a floating car. For reference, here is what it looks like.

I’d say I got the vehicle form nailed down pretty well for something that’s also supposed to become a humanoid robot that doesn’t parts form (take it apart to transform). The blueprint I made for him is in this short video I also made some time ago, and as you can see I intended for him to be slimmer and more compact.
Maybe I could rearrange the kibble to be more closer in but it’s a bit hard doing that digitally, especially when everything wants to phase into each other. I am however very happy I was basically AOE to keep his face and head look exactly the way I drew him and it fits in his body while as a Trident. I bet transforming him in real life would probably be a pain, especially when animating it. Well as long as I have something strong enough to hold him then I guess it wouldn’t too bad. Really the main issue would be him holding himself together. Getting the shape right was hard enough, but also mentally translating the physics of his stability from Stud. io into real life is also a challenge, and making sure he wouldn’t fall apart. A couple of months ago I started a third attempt at making my own Optimus Prime and haven’t finished it yet. It’s about halfway done, I’m thinking about finishing him next week.

With what, the vehicle?
Yea.
Apex legends is my favorite video game and I was considerably fixated on this idea since I pretty much knew literally no one else would think to do this. Plus I needed a big all muscle - no brain tank guy to be part of the “bag guy” group in a movie I started making about a year ago and haven’t made any progress on ever since. I haven’t even rewatched the footage, Jamm……
There’s almost no one who can make anything objectively good anyways so why not. Someone has to show off their awesome Lego building skills. Do you like legos?
Okay I just watched it and holy crap, it is way smoother than I remember it being. I even managed to make a sort of crappy transformation look decent. One of my other Lego transformers who’s named Miner can’t stand on his feet flat so I can’t connect him to the ground. It isn’t professional or super flashy but for someone who would be considered from the outside as “just another guy” I’d say it’s pretty good.
It’s ok
