Trending & News And do you like to dance? What is your favorite style of dancing to watch or perform?

I do, relatively.
I have a fair foundation in a few styles, a performance and musical background, and a culturally inherent sense of showmanship, lol.
My partner is a strong lead and we did some fully improv swing at the club as our first time dancing. I trusted him and my instincts and it was amazing. Danced so hard both my shoes broke!
He says I'm one of the best improv dancers he's ever led. He was a ton of fun to dance with, and I'm super excited to dance with him more.
I do consider myself a great dancer. Started out at 9 and did it competitively for 8 years. Started teaching it after college and have been doing that since.
My favorites are hip hop and latin.
Oh yeah I watch stuff constantly on tiktok and Instagram and YouTube.
As for me I can’t even do the chicken dance.
@mandyfire98 I love this lol

Yeah they were all great. That's Taiwan Williams. He's actually an amazing dancer and amazing choreographer. He's done a bunch of stuff on tv and for people's videos. He's really good.
In my youth, yes. I got honours results in several exams for ballet and performed on stage until I was 19 and my knees gave out - apparently 17 stone is too heavy for a ballet dancer.
I was just starting to try to get fit again when I lost my leg. I don't see myself dancing again for some time...
All things considered - it was 2020 and I'd just survived a 3 month coma, cytokine storm, full respiratory and cardiac arrest and kidney failure caused by Covid - it wasn't so bad. Still regaining my strength slowly and I get to see my son growing up, which I nearly didn't.
Glass is still half full.
I don't not know how to "Ballroom" dance. Wish I did. Social dance, I and a partner won a bottle of Champagne in a dance contest at Marriott, and got applause dancing in Nassau in the Bahamas
Oh, absolutely! Dancing brings out such pure joy for me. While I'm not a professional by any means, I've got some decent moves, and I love to let loose on the dance floor at festivals like Burning Man.
As for my favorite style, I'd have to say swing dancing is a blast to both watch and perform. It's got such an infectious, high-energy vibe that you can't help but smile while doing it. But honestly, any form of dance, from ballet to K-pop choreography, has its own charm and beauty💃✨.
What about you? What's your go-to dance style?
I learned one dance, well, actually a couple but, the one i really just got good at, was salsa. Long story as to why and how i got into it, but, i did it for 9 months. Covid, and my partner moving, is why i ended but i sort of miss it. Not enough to take it back up but yeah

I love dancing. I have done some kind of dancing my whole life. I started with ballet as a child.
I probably like latin style partner dances the most. E. G. Rumba style ballrooms dances or Salsa and I would happy to learn more.
Other than that I do also like poledance. Its always a new challenge and I do it the most.
Yes I comsider myself a good dancer. Not the best and not specilized in one dance but overall, above average.
i used to think i was good now i travel with professional dancers who show me things on our downtime and i can't believe how much i didn't know and how stupid i looked 💃
good one yes, good enough, yes...
started as a kid, and saw it, had it around me all the time (Tex-Mex region, born and raised) and I was actually forced!! to learn dances and perform as a little kid, for school... that was dreadful, but I definitely did it well
I grew more into and to definitely liking the idea better as I became an older teen, and when then, I could dance a bit more with girls... not forced, but in fun, and not to mention the million parties, weddings and events with the family, relatives and friends
naturally, I was apt for it... so it wasn't difficult to learn either, and ended up loving it, because of an ex-girlfriend who definitely has the very soul of a dancer...
you shouldn't be THAT surprised lmfao...
and I was taught, and practiced, through the years... it is in the culture as well
and definitely know, what to do with this body and how to, lol
Okay, I see lol

Well I am going to brag... I studied dance in my youth until an injury. Ballet and Modern mostly. But I have taken classes in all kinds of dance styles. I love Tango lately. Pole dancing was a lot of fun. I also insisted that my son learn how to dance... so he would feel confident asking girls to dance. One of my better Mom moments. He hated it at the time but thanks me now! lol
I am a terrible dancer but I should work and practice more bc I do love to dance. I'm just shy about dancing in front of people. I used to dance in hs albeit very stiffly but I still had a lot of fun during competitions.
no... rather not... I like to move and feel my body but I'm definitely not a trained dancer
I do like to dance... It's because I can feel everything. I can feel The beat the tone the rhythm the tune as vibration and my body just wants to flow with it
Oml i just love it, could be like the best kind of art and a way express myself. I do freestyle on my own and some traditional dances time to time, and i'd die to learn some latin dances it has always been one of my dreams to dance with a guy who knows how to do it
I'm a good dancer when I think nobody is looking.
I love to watch ballroom dancing.
Any style at all.
They're all lovely in their own ways.
Don’t let me find a beat. That only leads to catching these Double Dream Hands😎
@Staximus you’ve just been Planet Rocked, my good man
Saw it years ago on a blog, never forgot it😂
When dude hits The Butterfly at 2:32…. all that combined with the tucked in shirt, the khakis, the white dad sneakers…. absolute chef’s kiss💀💀💀💀💀💀
I can head-bang with the best of them.
I am the worst of the worst at dancing. I would make people cringe so hard, they'd need botox injections the rest of their life
A wise man once said: “there are those who dance and those who do not.”
I am one that does not.
My pets won't look at me if I dance alone, only if dancing with someone else. I try not to take it personally.
I’m about average. I’m not about to audition for “dancing with the stars” or anything… but I do love to dance.
I'm pretty much a stick when it comes to dancing 🤣 but I have thought about how women seem to like dancing more than guys... I mean you have Patrick Sawyee in dirty dancing and Kevin Bacon in footloose but if you put five girls and five guys on a bench with fun music playing. Who would get up to dance first 🤔 it's an interesting question 🤨
Absolutely fucking no , but I love to dance 😂
Somewhere there exists a video of me dancing at my wedding. I do not know exactly where it is but I hope it never gets out.
Lol, the wife has it and her best friend.
I like modern jive or bop. I'd rate myself as a decent social dancer.
To watch I like pole dancing.
Both are. Bop is more in the hands where nearly every other partner dance is n the feet which means that if a girl doesn't know the foot work you can't dance with her. With bop i can just step to compensate for her f she misses a beat. As a guy I can make up moves more easily and I can see something in a movie for example and duplicate it.
So it does look good to watch.
With pole dancing yeah it does emphasize every feminine. I was surprised to find out there are at least 6 academies in my neighborhood.
They even teach 12 yo girls so as to give them body confidence. I am not entirely sure of what to think of that. Do you think just pubescent girls should learn pole dancing?
I took salsa for around 9 months, and got relatively good at it. covid, and my partner moving, is why i stopped. I miss it but, probably not enough to go back. I just wanted to learn something. I'm a huge pro wrestling fan. And they say pro wrestling is just a "violent dance". Nikki Bella (a former wwe diva), did DWTS a few seasons ago and married her partner (artem). It was then that I decided to try it
Not at all which is funny because I'm a martial artist and when I'm doing forms it actually looks like a dance.
If you call bouncing and jumping around dancing then maybe 😂😂😂
Nope, I'm not a good dancer. My wife is, and she's disappointed that I'm not.
Have you heard of bathroom singers?
I am a bathroom dancer.
And many people say they have two left feet for dancing.
I would say I have none, if performing in front of people.
I got some upper body rhythm, but I never know what to do with my feet.. LOL.
And there's 50 percent of me left over by my possibly German ancestors.. JK 😂
Not remotely.
I'd be lucky if I can dance at all without breaking my knees any more.
I think I’m a good dancer. I took dance several years when I was younger and still like dancing for fun.
Oh hell yes! I’m a great dancer! I was a gymnast so I have excellent rhythm. I absolutely love dancing!
Hell no but i like to dance something slow on romantic vibes holding hands 🙂
Thanks miss flight of the phoenix 😌
Maybe except I don't like to dance in front of people.
Yeah just when i feel enthusiastic
I am trying in my home personally. So I am not that good. But dancing is fun and relieves my stress. I like it.
I duck at it for sure. Doesn’t want I don’t dance.
Sure, Sure, Sure & what I consider good dancing others probably won’t.
I like watching pole dancers. It's actually a hobby of mine so I guess you could say I'm a binge watcher lol
I don't know if I'm a good dancer or not but I enjoy myself, so I guess that's what matters
No. But there are some d&b or other songs (Get Lucky specifically) that I will "dance" to
Not at all. lol I feel awkward practicing on my own, but want to take classes eventually because I’d love to be able to dance with my future wife. I’m not sure what my favorite style is.
Nope. I'm the only one in my family that can't dance. I've never cared to much for it.
People say I look like MC hammer on crack when i dance.
Oh that's fun lol
I did streetdance for a couple of years as a teen and have tried various dance forms, I think I have some natural talent but I've never really explored it too much.
I used to be an extremely good dancer, for a white boy!
I like dancing, I'd consider myself as average in dance
Yessss! I love to dance been doing it my whole life. I've always loved music
No. I'm a white heterosexual male
cajun/creole. Not a fan of chicken fried steak, biscuits and gravy, chitlins, collard greens, etc
if I'm at a wedding reception with an open bar maybe
Only place I'm good at dancing to is my bed
I can twerk like nobody’s business
I don’t think ur ready for this jelly 😋
Before sports injuries, yes.
Yup. I am pretty good
