Thoughts on Deadpool and Wolverine movie [spoilers likely] ?

OMG I just watched it and is was AWESOME. And as a big Marvel and superhero fan I gotta say... this one really really played to the ladies for a change. But with lots of fight scenes and gore to please tha guys too. Not that I don't enjoy the cinematic quality of the fight scenes. All the Deadpool movies are amazing as this. But damn I was drooling too! And the surprise cameos... WOW!!

Only thing... as a massive Gambit fan my whole life I think he is a hard character to get right. And this version was still terrible. Despite TC's hardcore love of the character. He is just too chunky for the smooth cajun and he looked awkward as hell in the costume.

I have no interest in comic book movies anymore. They are just churned out to make money. The last decent superhero movie that I remember was "Man of Steel". Before that, the Christopher Nolan "Batman" movies and, before that, 2002's "Spider-Man" with Tobey Maguire. Good origin story movies are enjoyable. The rest are "been there, done that".

It was so good compared to the garbage that Disney/marvel had put out the last 5 years. Most of those movies and shows have been boring to flat out dumpster fires

Thankfully they allowed Reynolds/Jackman to have a lot of creative control.

Deadpool has become like other marvel films where it just ruins half the characters.

I know I know. Gambit is so bad in it. X23 seems OK but don't know her well. Toad was actually good!
But it's still really good film for the crazy slash and dash scenes! And OMG.. the car! I won't say more about that unless u seen it lol.

If it's X23 from Logan it's bad.
X23 is one of my favorite characters, along with Gambit which is related.
As in the comics Gambit becomes a more father figure to her than Logan, they work very well together.

As a whole X23 is a depressing and edgy character and is very mature in the things she does despite her young age it's something that wouldn't ever be done right in the films as it would have to try portray something that would make a lot people uncomfortable with her been underage.
And the most important thing of all is she's goth.

I didn't like it when i first tried to watch it. I didn't even get through the whole first movie. But like a year later I tried again and its extremely clever and funny with also a undercurrent of sad and romance. If you can get past the OTT sex stuff lol.
