Just like when they build a house, they lay down the foundation first right? If there was no sturdy foundation, you couldn't even build a house on it.

I cannot say what they are for the two of you, but you do need to start giving this some serious thinking and maybe write it down somewhere to remind you of what ingredients it will take to make the glue (love) that will make someone want to stay and not end the relationship.
