The Grand Tour Wraps Up, is anyone else going to miss it?

Hammond, Clarkson, and May, hosts of the legendary Top Gear and later The Grand Tour, have wrapped up after 22 years on the air.

Their shennannigans and adventures made life just a little bit more bearable all these years by giving an entertaining escape from the mundane. It's gonna be a very long time before a show like theirs comes along again.

Towards the end of their TG days - the show to me felt tired and I never bothered with the Grand Tour - look I'm not saying it wasn't watchable or that my opinion dictates - I'm just saying I "felt" that by "the late late 2000s" that the show had probably reached an incredible peak and then like a stock market just went for a retiring recession - in the sense that how long can a show stay fresh, exciting, and you feel for the guys changing/anging, or things feel "tiring or even not as exciting" or even - it's the audience, blame the audience's that change :D

I'd say it peaked either 2007 or 2009 and from about 2010 it felt like "that's probably a good peak and a good wrap" 🌯😉

I enjoyed their time on Top Gear but never saw The Grand Tour since it was on a pay site. I still have a recording of their economy race from Basil to Blackpool since I'm a diesel fan.

My husband's a big fan of Top Gear which I watched along with him sometimes.

Yes, these three and the show's entire crew are hilariously entertaining.

I'm sure they're all up to some new gigs after Top Gear and the Grand Tour.

I think Clarkson has something going on in a farm or similar.

Their chemistry and antics were absolutely unique and hard to replicate. I remember binge-watching episodes with friends and just being thoroughly entertained from start to finish. They made even the most mundane aspects of cars exciting and hilarious. It's definitely going to be tough finding a show that fills that void.
