I've always had a cat in my life, and I'm a volunteer for a Cat Charity, though I don't do a great deal for them at the moment. I've always liked how independent cats are, even from very nearly starting life. They are very loyal, playful, brave, intelligent, and able communicate despite only being able to meow. Obviously I would pick a cat to be my choice.
