What was your favorite cartoon growing up as a kid?

I had several!! A few of which I don't recall the names of, anymore. I think one was, The Super Six. Diaper Man, Bird Man, Aqua Man., Granite Man, etc.

The Herculoids, The Wacky Racers, Scooby Doo, The Banana Splits, Jonny Quest, Roger Ramjet, Beany & Cecil, Rocky & Bullwinkle, Hector Heathcoat, Woody Woodpecker, Heckle & Jekyll, Deputy Dawg, The Beatles, Krazy Kat, Ruff & Reddy, Huckleberry Hound, Yogi Bear, George Of The Jungle, Dudley Doo-Right, Snagglepuss, Quick Draw McGraw, Pixie & Dixie, Gumby, Davey & Goliath, The Impossibles, The Fantastic Four, Atom Ant, Shazan, The Arabian Knights, Frankenstein, Jr., Secret Squirrel, Cool McCool, The Pink Panther, Top Cat, just about anything Tex Avery ever did, Droopy McPoodle, The Jetsons, The Curiosity Shop, Tom & Jerry (until Gene Deitch made them awful and Chuck Jones made them even worse! I'd rather watch Gene's version than Chuck's!!) and, of course, all those great Warner Brothers cartoons we got to see on t. v.. At that point, I hated Popeye but, these days, anything the Fleischer Brothers did was fucking great!! But, also, at that point, Popeye was in its second stupid phase with the Sea Hag and Alice The Goon. Before that, Seymour Knightel was in charge during the `50's and ruined them. I actually prefer the Sea Hag era better than Seymour's.

By the early `70's, cartoons just got really stupid. Look out! It's The Hair Bear Bunch, The Funky Phantom, The Hillbilly Bears, Hong Kong Phooey, Inch High Private Eye, The Grape Ape, there was one about a hippo, another about Around The World In 80 Days, and one with the talking race car, all those retarded live action things, "H. R. Puffinstuff", etc.. At least Sigmund The Sea Monster was cool. The only reason I watched The Bugaboos was because it was about a rock band and records.

"Liberty's Kids" I was born a history nerd and ironically it was largely made as educational propaganda and it actually taught me more about the dark side and bad things America did during the revolution than my fucking school books in school did. What we did to the natives, how the Tori's were treated after the war and it even makes you understand why benedict Arnold turned traitor and makes him sympatric to an extent. It covers many people often left out of the history books and tries to show the British perspective when they can.

I never had a favorite, I watched what ever was on when our little 12 volt TV could get a signal. Jose and the Pussycats, Scooby Doo, Battle of the Planets all kinds of stuff, mostly Hanna Barbara. I still remember the music scores they used.
