What new bands do you listen to that are actually worth listening to?

I'm like you, I like progressive rock, classic rock , metal , etc. This is still one of my favorite albums. It's prog rock, not metal. But if you turn up the volume, some of the songs will kick your ass.

An interesting thing is that it's a concept album and one song blends into another with no spaces. It goes through melodic phases and then, bam, crazy shit suddenly drops.
And it has varied time signatures, not standard 4/4 rock.

I just thought of one of my favorite songs. I'm sure you are familiar with Jethro Tull. But this song breaks all musical barriers. It's freaking hallucinogenic. It helps to listen to it loud on a good stereo system.

I can't promise every song but if you like progressive rock, try Linda Lindas have punk rock.

Modern stuff is all hip hop or rap without the c that belongs, and many new bands in india or indie pop/ indie rock style.
