How do you see Tony Soprano’s personality?

Nothing anyone should idolize. I am really unsure why grown men her are thinking a guy that is a sociopathic murderer who disregards the law is someone cool... or would want to be around.

If he was a real person I'd hope as a younger person he would have gotten real therapy and a better childhood overall. He suffered from anxiety, depression, and he def suffered borderline personality disorder, and Narcissistic personality disorder. This is a dangerous violent man that you would not want to be associated with. If you find yourself acting like this you need serious help. If you admit to acting like him and also think you don't need therapy, I'd disagree.

Also, as an Italian American, it's not cool to think the Mafia or these types of guys should be idolized. Grown men that think this statement is wrong are seriously mental.

It's ok to enjoy the show but he's not a hero or someone you should want to emulate.

Deeply flawed. But I admit I got from Tony my taste in clothing, smoking cigars (up until I quit smoking altogether), I got two Day-Dates similar to Tony's, and even managed to met James Gandolfini and Tony Sirico over the years.

When I'm in Plymouth I frequent the local Italo-American community, they do act quite similar.

Excellent personality. Tony was a simple guy who had rules and boundaries. He could be your best friend or your worst nightmare. Up to you. Make a deal... honor the deal. Don't cheat him. Look out for your friends.

Yeah he had flexible morality. So what! He could also use violence effectively without hesitation. That's a useful skill. Tony Soprano is a guy I could hang out with and have a drink with. He could come over for dinner or a BBQ and hang out by my pool.

The duck thing was a little weird but we've all got quirks.

Look at his few personal killings in the series exclude the bookies he made his bones with as he wasn't in command so just had to follow orders
The rest were mostly about protecting his family or animals

The rat was to protect Meadow, Chucky was about the attempt on his life, Matt shot Christopher, Pussy was almost loyalty, Ralph was about the horse, Christopher was about his daughter and Tony B was definitely about loyalty arguably even mercy
