I used this picture for the cross-section of bands long since split-up and bands that are still going. I scored 42.

In order of the list provided...
Rush
Queensrÿche
Dio (*)
Metallica
Black Sabbath
Blue Öyster Cult
Just a few notes about this...
I saw Rush in May 1980 right after Permanent Waves came out. "Spirit of Radio" was their break-out hit in the USA even though it was a diss to radio. I never cared for the song, but have since learned to love much of Rush's music.
I saw Queensrÿche on 15 MAR 1989. This was right after "Operation: Mindcrime" came out which is an excellent album. I was already of Queensrÿche fan before this, but they were the opening act for Metallica which had released "... And Justice For All" in August 1988.
I've seen BÖC multiple times the first being 08 FEB 1980.
However, BÖC and Black Sabbath were together on their Black and Blue Tour in Fall 1980. I saw them 2 nights in a row - 17 OCT 1980 at the Nassau Coliseum (BS then BÖC) and 18 OCT 1980 at Madison Square Garden (BÖC then BS). I did (*) for Dio because I didn't see the band Dio, but, at the time, Ronnie James Dio was the singer for Black Sabbath having replaced Ozzy Osbourne. He was very good and "Heaven and Hell" - Black Sabbath's first album with Dio was very good.
The concert on 17 OCT at the Coliseum was filmed for Don Kirshner's Rock Concert. I am in it because I was on the floor in the 2nd row right in front of Geezer Butler.
I should have seen Pink Floyd. In 1980, they toured to support "The Wall" but only came to two places in North America: The Nassau Coliseum and Los Angeles for multi-night performances. I didn't want to cut school to get tickets at the Coliseum, so I missed out. I was in 11th Grade at the time and having the best year in school, so I didn't want to cut.
I'm at 22. Even now I feel bad... But any rock concert is better than country...🤪😜😀
Twenty-two? I'm a half-century your senior.(My youngest great-nephew will be 22 Feb.5,2026.) I went to a local Country show in 2013. Of course, I was the only black person there.
@beefcakebradybatson On the list... I'm at 22 of them. You are actually only less than 20 years older than me. Lol

I’ve been to some not in that list. For myself, Phil Collin’s/Genesis; Dave Mathew’s Band, Macy Gray, Jackson Browne. Almost saw The Rolling Stones, but didn’t go. For my girls they asked to take them to see Good Charlotte, Weezer, and AFI. My favorite was Dave Matthews.

i normally dont see classic rock and metal bands, but once in a while i'll go to events that'll show a lot of them. like i went to knotfest last year in a wheelchair lol
I love some of these bands but never been to their concerts. I am going to see Stevie Nicks soon
15 of them, but of all the remaining ones I didn't see, there are only 3 that I wanted to see but didn't. I'm not a metalhead or "hair band" fan, so a lot of them were never on my radar to begin with.
Not a one, but would have loved to have seen Soundgarden.
Nikki, how do you know somebody's band you shouldn't COLORED ME SURPRISE i saw KISS, IRON MAIDEN , REM, THE BREEDERS ,2 times, MOTOR HEAD , get ready for this one ready something totally different . MADONNA , 3 times , hey what can I say
I have seen a few bands on your list on tv, but non live as far as I can remember.
I've counted 15 that I know of on your list, including a single artist that is also a leader of a band.
Zero, not exactly my genre of music, but I had the chance to see at least three of them (Metallica, Nirvana, and Pearl Jam).
I saw Sammy Hagar in concert in Detroit 20 years ago and spoke to Tommy Lee (Happy 62nd birthday, Tommy!) New Years' Morning 1998 on a radio show.
Queen and most bands at Woodstock. I scaled the fence.
at least 10 and by the end of this year 11... so annoyed I missed Nirvana at BDO
Only 2 on your list unfortunately but did see Pat Benatar at the jones beach concert 35 years ago. Saw Dio 40 years ago and Def Leopard 28 years ago also at the beach concert in New York
Queensryche, Van Halen, AC/DC (only because they preceded Aerosmith), Heart.
Wait! What happened to the Spice Girls?

Only 7, but some more than once.
