Anyone else excited that Rush is touring again next year? I am so excited?

Unfortunately they aren’t coming to my area , so I have to drive to Cleveland Ohio to see them , it’s like a 2 hour drive , but well worth it to me since Rush is my favorite band of all time , without Neil it’s going to be weird, but the female drummer that is sitting in for him , Anika Nilles is apparently really good at drums , and I am sure Geddy and Alex made sure they found a drummer that could play like Neil. I heard really good things about her , I am just so excited to see Geddy and Alex on stage again. I am sure ticket prices will be outrageous , but I am not missing Rush Anyone else excited as well and going to the show

Yes and no. I saw Rush in May 1980 right after "Permanent Waves" was released with "Spirit of Radio" being their US radio breakthrough song. However, I won't be attending any concerts on this tour, but I am happy that Alex and Geddy have found renewed spirit to at least go on tour if not create new Rush music. It could be a challenge to do that since Neil was the primary lyricist. Also, the nature of Rush's music changed when Alex got whiny about the synthesizers and less guitars; Rush in the 1980s through "Roll the Bones" was very good. For example, take "Tom Sawyer" from "Moving Pictures", "The Big Money" from "Power Windows" or "Dreamline" from "Roll the Bones". When I got "Snakes and Arrows" around 2007 or 2008, I was disappointed.

Well, I won't be seeing them, so I can't be that excited, but I am glad they are doing this.

However, I have seen the drummer before when she played with Jeff Beck, and she is outstanding. She is more of a jazz fusion, funky kind of drummer, so it will be interesting to see how that works. I have no doubts she will nail it.

Yea I was watching videos of her and she is very good , especially for Geddy and Alex to pick her to sit in for Peart , I’m sure they picked wisely 😊 of course ticket prices are friggin insane , but Rush is the only band I will dent my wallet for lol
