I think I got as far as the second one and they were quite funny. But, as I almost never go to the movies and have no way to watching anything more recent than the mid `90's, I'd probably miss a good bit of the references.

The humor is super dumb and over-the-top, but that’s kind of the charm of the Scary Movie franchise. If you go in wanting clever, elevated horror parody, you’ll hate it. If you just want ridiculous gags, meta jokes, and nonsense references, it totally works as a brain-off comedy. 🍿
