Before writing was universally taught abd before cameras and video and tv it was the only way to both entertain and pass on knowledge and indeed remember things.
Now it's mostly entertainment. And it costs a lot less to tell a story than make a movie or get a book published.
But people who tell tales on here are definite attention seeking. Or passing on knowledge. Trying to.
Because we learn through other people's experiences. We tell kids bedtime stories to teach them morals just as our ancestors shared campfire tales as a way of passing on history or information about foreign lands.
I daresay it's a means of escape from a life that's either too boring or too painful. As for the Anons, how bad must they feel that they can't own their opinions or interests?
