Then i think of Josh Brolin, because of his mind blowing portrayal of Tommy Lee Jones’s “Agent K” in “Men in Black 3”. Brolin too belongs in the conversation. He’s had a stellar career and he’s done it all.
Honestly, i find it hardest to consider great actresses. Meryl Streep gets a lot of recognition. So that feels like a lazy answer. I think one of my favorites, Kathy Bates, is wildly underrated. She too has done it all and done it well. I think too much is made of Sally Fields’s acceptance of her academy award for “Places in the Heart”, detracting from the skill, talent and work ethic she applied to earn it and others. I think McKenna Grace might be the most talented young actress i’ve seen in years. She has had a remarkable career for her age. The sky is the limit for her if she can avoid becoming another child star tale of woe.
