Over the years child abductions have increased.

I'm my parents' only child but they actually trusted me very much. They saw as very advanced for my age. I was never overprotected. They let me cross the streets, walk to the bus stop alone and left home alone for the first time at age 8. Then at age 9, I was already walking home to school and vice versa; 30 minutes away.

Age 10; my friend and I took a public transportation to a different part of our city and mall... far from home and our curfew sometimes got extended to 8 pm. The only time our parents picked us up was after a movie finished late at 11:30 pm.

By age 12, it was my first sleepover at my friend's after a mixed party ended late. Then at age 16, I went to a beach in Cancún, México with friends (4 girls and 2 guys) for a whole week... it was spring break.

Though, nothing bad ever happened to me. But would you say my parents were naive?

I don't wish that on not even my worst enemy. That has to be horrible. Among these ways to lose a child, which would you say is the worst, most impacting:

- Any accident/sudden death (SIDS, hear attack, drowning in pool, auto accident, explosion, gas inhalation etc)

- Disease/illness (meningitis, cancer, virus, etc)

- Suicide (they hanged themselves after getting bullied, cheated on, etc)

- Murder (beaten or shot to death, stabbed, pushed towards a cliff, etc)

- Life sacrifice (they got in front of danger, died saving you or others)

- Animal attack/mauling (pitbull, shark, bear, etc)

Long story short, not to criticize, I'm just giving a description of how she looks and her health. Details: She has always taken jabs at me on the job for being fit. She'll ask me intrusive questions like," Are you still losing weight? What size are you now? You don't need to lose any more weight." I've never asked her for her opinion. Yet she's overweight, feet/legs/arms swollen, high blood pressure , on multiple medications, has glaucoma, can't drive. I've never once brought up how unhealthy she is despite knowing her circumstances. Now her husband has died because, like her, he didn't take care of himself.

Her mother is just as overweight with the same health issues, including heart failure, yet her mother said ," omg you're getting too skinny!" I told the mom, " I'm healthy and not on multiple medications , don't have heart failure, and swollen ankles like you. Are you feeling okay?" She then said oh um well did I say something wrong? "I said," Oh no, you didn't bother me. I'm just saying. Now they're trying to be all nice to me, but I'm keeping my distance. This is a work setting, by the way.

Burying a family member up to their neck in sand is a common bit of fun at the beach. Usually they volunteer but sometimes it happens when they're having a snooze.

She gives me gas money.

She doesn't have a driver's

license or a car. She usually

takes a uber. She told me

sometimes she would rather

ask me to take her instead

of a uber. I told her sometimes

I can't always take her and she

shouldn't always expect me to give

her rides. Not only do I have to

drop her off I have to pick her up

also. Is it wrong of me not

wanting to give her rides?

What should I tell her when she

ask for rides when she expects me

to do it? It makes me feel like

I'm obligated to do it but it is

not my responsibility to take her

where she needs to go.

My bestie and I had this discussion and this is what I said-

For me, it would depend on how far along I am. If it's only been a couple of months, I would terminate the pregnancy, but if I am about to have the baby then I would give up my life to save the child.

Sister asked me to pick a middle name for her daughter but I’m indecisive.
