No u shouldn't sleep in a thing that's how u get yeast infections. That string can cause the poop particles to get to the vagina. You shouldn't wear any underwear at night

Definitely not. I only wear a thong when I don't want panty lines. If I wear it for the whole day it can get uncomfortable. I wear regular panties to sleep in.
