Why Do You Give Dirty Looks?

I've never quite understood why some chicks give me dirty looks, I've been told it's cause they're jealous. When I see a pretty girl, I may feel some jealousy, but never enough to be rude or give her a dirty look, I don't understand how people can do that? Why do you give dirty looks and what's running through your head when you do?

I guess it is more of a jealousy thing. Cause I am really nice and friendly and even after meeting some girls who give me dirty looks I try to win them over but still they have a rotten attitude. I wish people were more down to earth and friendly.

Because your appearance either doesn't match with their values and believe you are looking like a slut whore etc or because you have piercings and they hate piercings or you have enormous earrings and you have enormous holes in your ears and they dislike that; OR they might be jealous of your radiance and beauty that you give off, or merely they just think your breasts are bigger than theirs, or your ass has a better shape than theirs, or you have smaller calves than theirs, or you have nicer hair than theirs, etc etc and therefore as said, they do it out of mere jealousy.

They did not learn that it is wrong to do, and they're selfish and don't care about your response and reaction. They don't care that you are another human being, you are merely an "opponent" they are competitively comparing themselves with.

Well I've been told it's because I'm pretty. I'm really no threat though. It's especially bad with my guy friend's girlfriends, they always seem scared or threatened that I'll steal their boyfriend away even though I'll be standing right next to my boyfriend, or I make it clear to let them both know that I have a boyfriend. I guess that's just the way that people are though. Oh well, it's not too much of a bother. I was just curious about the psychology behind why people do it more or less.

this usually happens if you live few minutes away from them or in the school premises and when they see you,they will be like'oh my God'this girl z so cute 'that they may even be scared that you might snatch their boyfriends or even get more attention from other people,.

I have always wondered that as well, sometimes when I go into a shop to get something and there is a girl behind the counter she gives me the most dirty look and is rude as hell.

Especially more pretty ones, but to me that does not bother me just a simple hello or thank you would be nice.

I guess it stems from these girls insecurities and its best to just let them get on with it and be bitches all their life's!

Now what I do is intentionally am over nice to them which p*sses them off just that little bit more lol

maybe people find you unapproachable. you never know. some people may think that you are unfriendly. which I know is not the case. but some girls give me that look as well. one girl as a bar looking at me, and she was obviously drinking a bit, and called me a bitch. I was in a very cute outfit. and I am tall. my friend said she is jealous. and not to mention she was a little big. I don't judge people on their weight, but some people do that stuff, so they feel better about themselves.

Girls who act like that are insecure. I see pretty girls but I don't act mean or rude to them because I'm not so insecure about my own beauty. It makes people feel better to look at a pretty girl and immediately think RUDE, MEAN BITCH because omg you can't be pretty AND nice!

I'm on the same boat...i don't get it either. If a girl to me looks nice I'll tell them like'hey your hair is pretty' or 'i like your..."

I think people who are really arrogant and have a 'I'm better than you' attitude do it alot. Like I've seen people who's face is in permanent stink eye mode. lol
