Why do people find collarbones attractive?

Why do people find collar bones attractive? A couple of my friends love collarbones & when they see mines they love it. So why do people like them? I know it’s a preference thing but what am I missing?

I personally think it’s the elusiveness of the body part. Unlike hands we don’t see them everyday but we do see them. We know they’re there and we know there are small differences from person to person. But unlike butts we don’t hype them up and few do anything to highlight them. So they’re kind of a tease. Like wrists and the lower back they are interesting parts of the body that simply get overlooked so when they come into view it feels fresh and exciting. It’s familiar but not too familiar. Hidden but not entirely taboo. Intimate but rarely sacred. I mean if you get clinical with anything humans find attractive it falls apart. Collarbones are just bones, butts are just muscle, boobs are just modified sweat glands and adipose tissue (fat). But they’re part of the human body and fair game for our hormone guided brains to latch on to as interesting.

I don't know why collarbones are attractive but I'll try to explain why I like them. At least for me, I view collarbones as a nice contrast that compliments a woman's overall appearance. The best thing that I could compare it with would be how girls like a guy with a good jawline where it just adds more to a guys face.

In my opinion, collarbone show elegance of a body. In the past, the ranaissanse era and even before that; many photographs and paintings show women with dresses offshoulder style and almost everytime their collarbones are a special detail of the painting. Maybe people are attracted to them now because subconciously we might perceive the person as classy, elegant, chique.

Because collarbones can kind of tell a lot about your weight. If the collarbones are sticking out you can tell that the person is underweight. A good amount of collarbone shows fitness.

2. Collarbones are only something relative to how modest everyone dresses.
3. When a woman is dressed in a low cut dress or such, enough to show more of her upper chest such as collarbones, it does seem to give her a little more feminine gentleness. Perhaps.
