I find it more efficient I guess you could say? Men's underwear isn't exactly cheap, and its just another thing to have to wash and fold, and not wearing any underwear doesn't really affect anything, until you get an erection and no way to hide it...
My girl likes for me to wear thongs, for men of course. They offer support, without the feeling of wearing anything, and ideally you can conceal a boner.

It'd be sexy if you're in a dress or skirt and out to dinner with your man because you can whisper in his ear, "I'm not wearing any underwear." Then the look on his face is priceless.

Otherwise that's gross. At least wear a thong. And if you're a dude, boxers or briefs obviously.

I think it's stupid to call it trashy as long as she's not wearing a short skirt or something. It's just more comfortable for some girls. I think if you are doing it to get attention - yes, you are trashy, but if you just don't like underwear then you shouldn't have to wear em'!

Not trashy at all, depending on personal choice.
Some time I go out with jogging suite I don't wear underwear.
My girlfriend Yunaidah and her mom mostly do not wear underwear and bra too, both looking hot and sexy and spicy.
