It's make a sense for girls who want to change their hair color natural, and if a girl is doing it, she might as well go with a color that a human in real life can't have naturally, as it would help to distinguished her more and it's means that she usually means that she not pretend to have that hair color naturally, so in a sense it's more honest in comparison to girls dye their hair to blonde. Also while radical feminists had given colorful hair a bad reputation, it looks like anime helped in balancing this out. :)

On normal people, neither aside from cosplaying. lol Normal people look better with normal hair.
In anime, blue is typically my favorite hair color,(being my favorite color in general), just past my favorite natural color which is red. Redheads are always epic!
