On here I often see people praising sweat pants, particularly grey bones but why? Whenever you see anyone in the street wearing them they're always lowlife scum, alcoholics, addicts, criminals. They're the go to pants of trash and people to stupid to understand zips and buttons.
Don't give me the they're comfortable crap, a skirt is comfortable but you don't see guys wearing them. Neither do I buy the" look at my bulge" reason, I don't want to even get close enough to notice I'm too scared you'll mug me for your drug money. Doesn't it bother you that the second you walk in a shop the store security goes on high alert?

Why do people find sweatpants attractive when it's only scum that wear them?
I mean, aren't kilts a thing? That's basically men wearing skirts. So right there that's something you haven't considered. Maybe men don't wear skirts a lot of the time because they are culturally always worn by women? In which case, besides to fit into the culture and unless you can't find a skirt made for men, there's no reason men shouldn't wear skirts more often. They probably would be comfortable.
Now carry that reasoning to sweatpants, and maybe you could make a valid argument. If you are right and almost entirely the people who are considered "scum" are the ones who wear sweatpants, then it would absolutely be against the culture and probably unattractive for a person of a "higher class" to wear sweat pants. But, if said person didn't mind ignoring the cultural dress codes, then they may certainly wear sweatpants with no problem.
This is the only issue I have with that argument. Since sweatpants can only be considered unattractive because the otherwise "unattractive" people wear sweatpants in that culture, then effectively, you have only createda cultural conclusion. In *this specific culture* because the lower class wear sweatpants it would not be appropriate for a higher class to wear sweatpants. And I don't know if that's what you were trying to say I almsotnhad trouble typing that out. I mean I know homeless and drug addicted people aren't the best at life but the scum of the earth? That seems pretty harsh.
I had a friend in highschool who wore sweatpants all the time because he was a fucking fatass and other pants didn't fit him. He was the nicest dude you could meet and unfitting of your stereotype. That said, he lost a ton of weight and wears jeans now, but every now and then I'd imagine he wears sweats for the comfort. I don't own any sweats but when I get home from work first thing I do is change into pajama pants because the waist on my work pants is less comfortable, but I wouldn't go out of the house in those either... I get what you're saying about it looking trashy but I think you're exaggerating and perhaps confusing the issue here. If I understand it right, you have an issue with dodgy scummy dudes, not sweat pants themselves. I think your distain would be better directed at the criminals than their choice of leg wear.
I agree with what you say, but i think as to if they are attractive or not depends on who is wearing them. A lot of the time when you see people wearing them they are scruffy layabout type people and that is anything but attractive, but if i see a nice looking girl wearing them in the gym, i find that so attractive.
Girls who wear leggings are all sluts! It shows their ass and bare legs only with some cloth on them! Do they have no shame at all? How does it feel huh? :)

I actually never heard of this before I love sweatpants They're comfortable and they look good on me especially with how I dress They're easy to wear and don't fall off They give much more flexibility and movement, you don't get that in jeans because baggy jeans are ugly.
A few things. Not to be rude. But yea. If someone is wearing them in public. Yea they are sleeze. But some girls wear them in private when they are in the mood. And guys too. Another thing. Just because someone is homeless doesn't make them sleeze. They fell on hard times. You should have compassion rather than think they are sleeze.

@cooldude64 hit the nail on the head... you have no issue with sweats when worn by the gentlemen shown... just people who have to deal with stuff that would make you commit suicide after 3 days.
Don't try and stop sweatpants, it's like if there was a court order to have 'twat' tattooed on your forehead but they do it themselves. It's lovely to know who to keep away from your dog at a distance
They're comfortable and I don't see why they can't be worn in pubic when going shopping, bank, haircut, etc. I don't own any pairs, but this post made me want to get some. I'm not trying to attract some stuck up fashion yuppie anyways.
I think they're not very formal but at the same time who cares? I personally wouldn't go out much with sweatpants but I don't think they're for 'scum' people. They're just practical, casual and comfortable.
These are sad photos, hopefully they got help, we call them trackies in Australia. These people are all unfortunate but they all have a soul regardless of the terrible things they do, or the way they treat their bodies.
I had a girlfriend who was into them, she was even member of a Facebook group, grey sweatpants on men. Legend says you can see a guys bulge clearer in a grey s sweatpants. That was the base of that group
