I want to get my belly button pierced next but I'm scared because of my experience with my helix piercing so far, does a belly button piercing hurt more or the same? And do you find them attractive or trashy?
I got my helix pierced on Tuesday (3 days ago) with a needle and although it's been a little sore it never actually hurt - they numbed the site.
But today it really hurts, it's swollen and feels hot to touch (2nd picture below - it's not terribly swollen but compared to when I first got the piercing (1st picture below) it is noticeable and the pain is quite bad.
I haven't noticed any discharge, but it feels like it's throbbing. Is this normal? What should I expect and how long will it take to stop hurting?This was the day after I got it...This is it now...
Do you find belly button piercings hot? Is this normal for a helix piercing?
I have both a helix and navel piercing. I've never had anyone complain or see me diffrent.
My cartilage piercing took like about 3 months to fully heal. But even after that, I considered in giving the piercing extra care and cleaned it regularly for another month or so. If it's beginning to swell take an ibuprofen to help reduce the swelling. Do you wear anything that may irritate the piercing (headband/headphones/hat... cause avoid those if so) or do you sleep on the ear, that may be the cause of swelling. Keep at it with keeping it clean with saline, but if it begins to develop a discharge, may have to take a visit to the clinic.
Thank you! I think the swelling is reduced and don’t think it’s infected I’ve been cleaning it as I should and pinning my hair back away from the piercing - washing my hair was a mission but I managed!
Did your naval piercing hurt? What did that feel like? I want to get it done but if it’s going to feel like this cartilage one then I’m not so sure if I’m ready
Why don't you go and get it checked just to be sure? I find the belly button piercing attractive but it can easily get irritated since there will be a lot if friction with the fabric of your clothes or while you sleep etc... So more chances for it to get infected unfortunately. And about the pain it depends on the person, some said it's not so bad other's said it really hurt🤷🏿♀️
Helix piercings are difficult piercings to heal and deal with. They will swell, they will hurt. You just need to keep doing warm salt soaks and wipe any debris that forms. Sleep on the side you did not pierce. Any irritation will set off a swelling. I love belly button piercings. But they have to suit your body type etc. Not everyone can pull off a sexy navel piercing. by the way... Cute ears you've got and cute piercings 😍
The Helix piercing is probably mildly infected. I do find belly button piercings sexy though. Just make sure to apply rubbing alcohol and/or peroxide to your piercings to keep them clean.
To be honest i find it fucking sexy! When i see you on the beach in bikini and i see your belly piercing i just want to bend you over right there and.. khmm.. for hours. So yh, i think its fucking sexy!
