Depends on how it is done. Skin tone. Makeup. Original hair color. Etc. On some red looks very nice even candy apple. Others it needs to be a darker red. Its all about the combinations.

It honestly depends. Some dyed red hair looks amazing! It rlly depends on which red color and what the hair style is :)
