Oversized T-shirt?

For more comfort when lounging at home, I've been looking into oversized t-shirts, but one thing crossed my mind while looking at Tshirts labled "oversized" that's priced higher than a normal T-shirt. What's the difference between buying a shirt labled as oversized to just buying a normal shirt a couple of sizes too big?

Oversized is especially designed to look big and fit well where a big shirt is just big.

It takes more material to make bigger clothing... so it’ll cost more to buy more materials to make bigger clothes

Oversized is usually bigger than XL clothing as well

They do it with children’s clothes as well I don't know why people take it so personal... an outfit for a newborn is usually cheaper than an outfit for a one year old even if they’re made from the same material
