Typically the idea with clothing is not to match one's skin tone, but to complement it. And often that is done by working not just with one's undertones, but lightness/darkness.
Of these, I think the black guy looks the best. But brown underwear? Uh... hmmm.
And the best shape here is the boxer briefs. They're sexy.
But in the case of women's undergarments - again, typically but not always - it's about showing off the clothes, not disrupting their lines, and the undergarments should fade away, not being noticed.
But there are exceptions to everything, and people love to break rules. (Though one should ideally know them, in order to be conscious of what they are breaking and why, otherwise it can just look haphazard and sloppy; though irreverence for them is fine too. But a person won't look chic.)
Example: I asked a q once about black and bold coloured bras underneath sheer blouses.
Fashion Question: Loose sheer white shirt + black or coloured bra underneath: Yay or Nay?
This is an old idea, it's very French, and I personally love it. Because with the loose top over, it's sexy without trying too hard. It's a hint of what's beneath. Sheer + bold + tight is a whole other level of sexiness, and then materials matter a lot, otherwise it can look just like trash polyester try-hard.
My gut reaction is I don't like this nude underwear on men. I don't think it flatters. My own nude bras are by far the most versatile of all that I own, but I think they are the least flattering. I prefer black or bold or soft petal pink, and especially floral patterns.
My advice to men would be to only wear this if you're wearing thin white pants or thin shorts, or something very see-through, and you don't want to draw attention to you and your package.
(Of course, there are some who like to do just that, and that's fine too. Especially if it's a nice package.)
I guess what I find visually intriguing about them is that without the contrast to your skin tone it makes the whole body the visual focus rather than just the underwear (or what's underneath them). I normally wear briefs in quite bold colors or black, but there's something about this that just seems more artistic or sculptural somehow. Maybe some of that is coming from the fact that dance belts are also nude in color, though.
I love what you wrote.
It adds a whole other layer, or angle. You are right, it is also true. It becomes all about the form.
What you describe sounds like ballet dancers. Their costumes are fascinatingly nude, yet not.
It's one of the things I like about watching dancing as a sport. So many sportsmen are covered up in gear, you can't see their muscles, which is a shame. It visually lessens the effect of the effort.
These men look like they are being readied to have paper mache casts formed of them. This is the beginning of some project. Something is about to happen, some form of art.
It makes me think that it puts so much emphasis on form, there is nothing to fall back on but it. No distractions.
It requires thoughtful lighting as well.
Some of my favorite ballet is that performed just in nude leotards. It's not about the costumes, just raw physical skill and strength.
Ah you might like this then.

That's quite the space, eh?
I've seen that one! I like it.
Not my body. Not really a fan myself though, I wouldn’t buy them for anyone.
I dunno. No problems with it, beige tones are very stylish right now, but to me I can’t stop thinking of mannequins
I hope maybe this is a stepping stone to full nudity.

I only wear nude underwear under white or sheer clothing. Assuming he does the same, it's practical.
Why would we care, it's not that often we see men in there underwear anyway!
It is just underwear, so it us usually covered up.
I do like it. Can't say I have any at the moment.
As a man I don't care, if it's comfortable it's comfortable, they can be pink for all I care
I don’t think it’s a problem at all. You wear what you want. For me I go without underwear period
Not to bothered about the colour, but wish they would do larger sizes with the proportions right.
Looks good tbh
