Laser hair, shaving or wax?

So i need to know the pros and cons for lasering hair? I dont know much about the laser hair removal. Normally I just wax or if i'm lazy jave to shave. Whats been the benefits for you? Or not been?

1. Laser Hair Removal:
PRO - It works, for good, over time. And relatively painless, one you get used to the zap sensation, like a rubber band snapped against your skin, and get used to the smell of a singed and destroyed body hair follicle. My back felt uncomfortably warm for a time after that, apply this sensation to wherever you are zapping on your body.
CON - takes a long time, costs a small fortune, must stay out of the sun on that exposed body part for some time afterwards.

2. Waxing - seems painful as hell to me, everyone else can chime in here.

3. Depilatory creams:
PRO - last a good long time
CON - can cause unpleasant rash, depending upon your skin pH, body chemistry, etc. Your mileage may vary.

Yeah the zapping in the softer skin too probably is odd too...

Laser works but it can require several expensive sessions. It also hurts a little, like and elastic band being snapped against your skin.

Laser is expensive but lasts for months and it grows back less thick than before each time, it works best on dark hair.

Shaving doesn't last long but is the cheapest and usually quick and painless, but you'll cut yourself occasionaly, and it can irritate your skin. It's not always best for thicker hairs.


Waxing is painful at first but way less expensive than laser or you can do it by yourself at home. It removes thick hair, leaves your skin feeling very smooth, is quick enough, and lasts longer than shaving. Also the hair grows back less than before compared to shaving.

In general, I prefer waxing but I like shaving if I just want something quick.

Yeah waxing have been my way not to groom every week. I think to it gives a better result.

From the little I know you basically insert a needle into the hair follicle for each inividual hair in order to kill it. I usually wax but changed to an epilator, hurts like hell but I'll get used to it.

To me shaving is the easiest.

I have all the waxing stuff but I have never used it yet.

Never tried laser.

Plus I think it looks personally better, you dont get the shaving bumps or ingrown hairs

Don't go with laser. I knew a beautiful girl in high school, we dated for 3 years. She didn't shave for the first half of the relationship and she was beautiful. Then she started shaving it clean, she was still beautiful. Then we got back together after a few years and she had gotten laser treatment... She destroyed a masterpiece. Don't. Do. Laser.

I shave right now, but will be switching to that. I have heard it takes a few treatments, but to no longer have to worry about hair would be amazing to me

Laser. Stays smooth forever. And you can even buy little handheld lasers that you can do yourself at home.

@Breebabe15 Then laser is the way to go. Like I said, you can buy at home handheld lasers for a couple hundred dollars that work just as well as the kind you have to go to a professional for. It will never grow back.

For me, i having hair there. I dont feel clean. I can't see myself wanting hair there anytime soon. Tried the landing strip but i felt it looked funny and out of place.
